To Everybody at Big Beautiful Brides, I just wanted
to write to say thank you all so much for everything that you
have done for me. Until I arrived at your shop I felt that my
whole wedding would be over shadowed by the fact that I wouldn’t
feel comfortable and gorgeous in my dress. I felt that I didn’t
fit the profile of a bride! I had been into a few other wedding
dress shops and told that I would have to squeeze into a size
12 (I’m an 18!) and see what I thought! How are you supposed
to feel gorgeous if you're spilling out over the sides! I found
3B's on the internet and was instantly excited! After reading
other testimonials I booked to have an appointment! It was the
best decision! From the moment I arrived I felt very comfortable.
It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everybody made me feel
at ease! I tried on loads of dresses (which all did up!) and
felt amazing! For the first time I felt excited about my wedding!
I decided on a gorgeous dress that makes me feel like a princess!
Everybody will be so surprised by my choice! Usually a cover
up and shy away from the limelight, well, there is no chance
of that in this dress! I would highly recommend going to see
these amazing people to anybody who has feminine curves! Once
you have been into the shop and ordered your dress the aftercare
service is just as professional. I've been after something unusual
for my bridesmaids and 3B's have made numerous phone calls for
me! We've now found the perfect look! I can't wait for my wedding
day now! I promise to send in some photos! Many, many thanks

First of all WOW, finally made it down to the castle in the
sky and what can I say that no one else has.....miracle workers,
friendly, fairy godmothers, the list is endless. 1) Sam you
are an angel, I've never known anyone to have the patience of
a saint when it comes to me and clothes. For you to stand and
help all the way through the 20 dresses, (Yes ladies 20, you
read right),,, wow they broke the mould when they made you....
2) I'm not an alien YIPEEE....I wish I had the symbol that
I'd like to show all those fancy boutiques with their stick
like models and snobbish attitude... .. I walked in a shop yesterday
were no one laughed at me because of my size, where the assistants
had time and patience to talk to me like a person and for me
to try on all the gowns I liked.. To have some of them that
had to to be pinned cos they were too big. 3) YESSS I found
it I Found It.......my dress.. the one I never thought I'd find
especially as it gave me a figure, yes ladies an hourglass figure...ok
so it was a generous hourglass but I found something I'd lost
years ago....My Waist !!!! Mind you I wasn't even gonna try
on the dress, thought it a bit old fashioned but my gosh I am
sooo glad I did....cos that's the one I picked and ordered..
Marie, you've found a niche market that soo desperately needed
to be addressed and for that I thank you. I'm so glad that I
stumbled upon your website and finally worked up the courage
to come and see you and your gals.. , nothing was too much trouble
and I felt a million dollars in my dress. If it hadn't have
been for you and your ladies then I probably would've cancelled
the wedding, can't have a wedding with the bride in a tent.....but
you had the perfect dress for me. Any ladies who have sat and
cried that they'll never find that perfect dress or a business
that will treat them like a normal person (ok lets get it right---a
princess) Then I implore you to book an appointment and go and
see Marie, Sam and Melissa. Thanks for being there and making

thank you so much to Marie from big beautiful brides it was
the best wedding dress shopping experience I had. It was lovely
to try on dresses that fitted and did not have to have panels
inserted to a too small sample dress. And I was lucky enough
to be able to walk out with my dress which was very exciting.
The shop is a bit far from London but the train was very convenient
and it was worth the travel. I LOVE MY DRESS!!and I cant wait

I would like to say a BIG thank you to Hazel for giving me the
most wonderful experience in picking the most wonderful dress
of my dreams.I had already purchased a dress that I was really
not at all happy with and 8 weeks before I was due to marry
the man of my dreams I found my self panicking about my dress
that I now hated. I came across Big Beautiful Brides whilst
surfing the net and sent an email in the hope that they would
be able to fit me in at such short notice. This turned out not
to be a problem and I was soon stood in the shop looking through
the many dresses that I was able to try on. I had never had
so much choice or even been told that some of the dresses were
actually TOO BIG for me. I tried on 6 dresses altogether. The
first one I tried made me feel a million dollars, like I was
on cloud nine, I felt so comfortable and so beautiful. I tried
the other 5 dresses but to be honest none of them made me feel
like the first one did. I purchased the dress that day and remained
on cloud nine for quite a few days after. I married my dream
man Stephen on July 9th 2006 and what a day it was. I looked
gorgeous and every photo I had taken I actually liked which

We'd like to thank Hazel and her team for making the whole experience
so enjoyable. It was so nice not to be turned away when asking
for a dress larger than size 12. It was a long drive from South
Bucks but it was worth it. The day was perfect on 24th June
although it was raining first thing the sun came out in time
and the compliments were numerous. To complete the outfit Renata
made a bowtie to match the dress and my son found blue roses

Hi We had a wonderful day even though it rained for most of
the day not what we expected at the end of May (we were married
on 27th May)! I felt so wonderful in my dress, it was beautiful
and I have had so many compliments about it since! I loved the
shop it was so nice to go somewhere where many of the dresses
were too big and where you were n’t made to feel abnormal because
you are over a size 12. Hazel was especially great and made
the whole experience a joy, we travelled over 120 miles each
way and every mile was worth it! Here a just a few of the photos

Dear all at BBB, I just wanted to say a big thankyou to you
all especially Hazel for making me look forward to my wedding,
I did not want to plan my wedding as I knew it would involve
looking for a wedding dress and this part I was dreading. If
I had been the "normal size 12" this would not have
been a problem, however, being on the larger side this was something
I was not looking forward to. On the way down the motorway to
your shop I was anxious, nervous and apprehensive, however,
Hazel made me feel at ease as soon as we were in the shop. I
felt like I was important and a valued customer even though
it was my first trip. There were many dresses to try on in all
different styles and sizes. It is true what people say that
when you know the dress you do. I tried many on but I kept going
back to a specific dress which I felt was perfect. It made me
look like I had a waist and made me feel like a million dollars.
I left the shop, having paid for my dress looking forward to
my wedding, feeling good about myself and best of all not feeling
inadequate for being a large lady. Thank you all so much for
giving me the confidence to walk down the aisle to my husband

Thank you for your help this week in getting my lovely dress
sorted. I’d left it later and later thinking I would/could
lose enough weight to get into a lower size. And luckily you
had a dress that was what I’d hoped I could wear, and in
my size! Please if you’ve found this website, visit this
shop. The staff are fantastic, and you can actually try on lots
of dresses that fit! Not just hold things up and wish they’d
go over your boobs or hips. Or be made to try the one plus size
dress in the shop and hope you like it. I can’t wait to
wear my dress in October, and if I lose a little weight now
I know the dress can be altered beforehand. Thanks again to

Please thank Hazel and your other assistant for all of their
help on Saturday morning. I had very specific ideas of what
I wanted it was unfortunate for me that you did not have exact
colour that I had in mind in my size (the perfect colour was
in the window!!) But having left it so late I was prepared to
change to something else. Hence my purchase of the purple top
and skirt. It was a little snug but I am losing weight and the
outfit has given my all the more reason to stick to my eating
and my exercise plan that the personal trainer has devised for
me so I am confident I will get into the skirt. Your ladies
were so reluctant to sell me something that was not perfect
that it was quite refreshing!!! I have been to several shops
where the assistants were more than pushy and indeed did not
follow up on my request for a colour swatch so that I could
order the right outfit. Also when you are a larger size they
rather look down their noses at you hence me making several
phone calls to bridal shops prior to visiting. You were all
very helpful on the telephone and at the shop that I wish I
had found you earlier, I know now I could have ordered a dress
in a burgundy colour. I will know next weekend what all of my
nieces- 'my attendants' think of the dress colour against their
dress colour and will let you know if I will be able to wear
it on our big day. All is not lost with my purchase as Paul
loves the colour purple on me so the dress have bought from
you will not go to waste as we attend several functions that
I will be able to wear the dress, should I not wear in on the
27th August.. Thank you all so much again for your patience

I just wanted to thank Marie for making me feel so at ease when
I bought my dream wedding dress. I was nervous about entering
the shop and when arriving Marie asked me if I was the lady
who had an appointment I said no but would just like to browse.
Marie showed me a couple of dresses while waiting for her lady
then I said I would love a dress with pink on it. She said there
was one on the sale rail, as the other lady still hadn't turned
up would I like to try it on? I jumped at the chance and all
I can say is it must have been fate because I fell in love with
it and Marie said I looked beautiful. Marie was just like a
mum on that very exciting day and seeing as my mum died a few
years ago it meant a lot to me. Before leaving the shop I gave
her a big hug (apparently the other lady did turn up after I
was gone so I really do believe in FATE - thank you. Rose

I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to Hazel for making me
feel excited (for the first time) about buying a wedding dress.
I was very nervous entering the shop and had readily expected
to be politely advised that there would be nothing in the shop
that would fit me. I was therefore literally knocked off my
feet when Hazel told me I would be able to fit in to most of
the beautiful dresses in the shop - in fact some might be too
big! Could this be true? Was I dreaming?! Hazel was unbelievably
sensitive, supportive and honest - I cannot wait for my personal
fitting with her in a few months time! I even had to give her
